I am a training consultant with experience in training, onboarding, and learning design. I am committed to designing high-quality, engaging, and cross-cultural learning materials to achieve organizational goals. Likewise, I am passionate about process and performance improvement. To ensure learning experiences are engaging and impactful, I leverage the SAM design model, Gagne's nine events of instruction, and Kirkpatrick's Four Levels of Evaluation.
I was a Social Studies Teacher and sports coach for several years before taking on the role of School Counselor. As a School Counselor, in addition to serving students, I served as a consultant to administrators, parents, and teachers. This experience sparked my interest in adult learning, employee experience, and onboarding. As a result, I completed a post-baccalaureate certificate in Instructional Design with a specialization in training and performance improvement. I have completed graduate work in Educational Leadership which focused on curriculum design as well as staff selection and appraisal. Since leaving education, I have worked in educational technology sales, staffing, and facilitation.
My leadership approach blends coaching and servant leadership styles. These styles emphasize collaboration, identifying individual skill sets, and setting clear expectations. I believe that these are vital to developing a team culture of productivity and continuous self-improvement. Additionally, these styles allow me to draw upon my strong communication skills and previous experience as an educator.
